Alex Drover
Lead Instructor
Coach Drover has lead the previous successful 2 years of Ice Surfers Hockey Academy.
He was drafted 10th overall in the 2018 QMJHL Draft and continued on to play 5 years in the QMJHL & WHL. He has attended 4 CHL camps and one of Team Canada’s Development Camps. Alex is currently playing USPORTS for the Ontario Tech Ridgebacks.
He is currently studying kinesiology with an interest in sports psychology which he applies to his training and the programs he creates.
Deanna Fraser
Goalie Coach
Coach Fraser recently completed her collegiate career with Cornell University’s Division 1 NCAA women’s hockey team. Her team won the Ivy Championships and she was awarded the All-Ivy Academic Award in her last season. She has also been recognized at the national level, competing in the 2019 Canada Games as well as multiple Hockey Canada development programs.

Camp Supervisors

Ryan Kennedy
Also known as the principal.
Ryan is a licensed pharmacist who acts as an on site medical professional. He oversees off-ice activities, the morning welcome and brings a smile to everyone's face. He is also the MC for the Ice Surfers lunch time Comedy challenge!

Danielle Aldred
Danielle is a registered nurse from Moncton, NB.
She joined the team last year to assist with organizing players, check-in/check-out, and overseeing off-ice activities.
She is also responsible for social media and camp photography

Sophie Fraser
Sophie has been a camp supervisor since the inaugural camp in 2023.
She oversees off-ice activities, guides players during leadership programs and gets the kids excited!
She brings energy and positivity every day.
She is also responsible for social media and photography - so smile if she's behind the lens!



CAMP
LEADERS
Each age group consists of 2-3 camp leaders.
They are responsible for ensuring players stay together as a team, are punctual for their activities, assist in facilitating activities and promote a positive camp experience!
